Amanda Mueller has been professionally involved in art since 2000, when she began painting commissioned watercolor portraits. Since that time, she has received her BFA in Illustration from the Rhode Island School of Design (2008) and has continued to pursue her passion for art while traveling and living in the United States and South America.
Her work is influenced by the natural world, particularly, the ocean. She uses vivid colors and organic lines to create an artistic style that is tastefully simplistic, yet elegantly refined. Her underlying theme of blending a carefree lifestyle with bold composition is present in each of her uniquely personal works of art.
Although watercolor illustration is Amanda's artistic forte, she is equally comfortable in all mediums, including acrylic, oil, charcoal and pastel. Along with working in traditional art media, she has significant experience in graphic art and design.
Amanda currently resides in Solana Beach, California, where she works as a graphic artist and designer for the clothing company “prAna”.
